Times and dates are arranged to suit by contacting Mary Johnson. Weekends and weekdays are possible depending on availability or you a could buy a voucher.
A fun and friendly taster course for those who want to try out throwing a pot on the wheel. Small class numbers and personal attention make sure that you get all the support needed. Perfect for the complete beginner, or a refresher for more experienced students. You can choose to have your pots fired for an additional £5 for 3.
The Price : £70 for 2 people for 2 hrs /£47.50 for 1.5 hours for one to one.
Larger groups by arrangement.
Have a go at Hand building Pottery:
A fun and friendly taster course for those who want to try out making a pot using slab or coil building techniques. You can choose to have your best pots fired for an additional £5 per person.
The Price : £70 for 2 people for 2 hrs /£47.50 for 1.5 hours for one to one.
Groups of up to 6 people can be accommodated for hand building courses on request.
Longer pottery Courses:
six 2 hour sessions held over 6 weeks currently unavailable.
3 or 4 week courses for groups of up to 3 people are now available – please contact Mary Johnson. for details.
Courses TBA evenings 6.30 – 8.30 pm. as covid restrictions allow.
Beginners on this course will learn basic skills in wedging clay, centering on the wheel, throwing a cylinder, throwing a bowl, making handles and lids. At the end of the course students will have some glazed pieces to take home.
There is an option to continue with follow on courses as required where students can develop their own projects or improve and expand skills. All equipment and aprons are provided.
The Price includes firing and materials. To book a place or any queries contact Mary Johnson. or you could buy a voucher to cover all or part of the cost.
