Deep Carved cedar wood sculpture details

Ursula Von Rydingsvard

This week I visited a fantasticly tactile exhibition at Yorkshire sculpture park of sculpture made by Ursula Von Rydingsvard. There were monumental vessels and columns made from deeply carved cedar wood  and huge canvases of sewn together cow intestines and banana paper, all marked and scored with graphite and a circular saw.

I cant believe how varied and sensuous a surface she has achieved with such a blunt instrument. They gave the impression of drawings of sculptures made on the landscape. I cant wait to get into the studio and draw my owns sketches from her work.

what is an aside in format section on right side?

what does a status do in format?

if I write in a quote what will that do?
