Taster Sessions.

Have a go at throwing  a pot on the wheel.

Saturdays   Between 9.30 – 12.30 am   and 1.30 -4.30 pm.

Sundays   Between 9.30 – 12.30 am   and 1.30 -4.30 pm.

Special Introductory price

2 people for 2 hrs. £50 (£25 each) start time negotiable.

4 people for 3 hrs. £80 (£20 each) Time shared between two wheels.

 These workshops could make memorable Birthday or Anniversary present, perfect for the complete beginner or as a refresher course. the session includes firing your best pots in the kiln.


Throwing for beginners 

6 week course for 4 people.

Fridays   6.30pm – 8.30 pm Jan 19th/ Jan 26th / Feb 2nd/ Feb 9th/ Feb 16th / Feb 23rd

Wednesdays 6.30 – 8.30pm Feb 28th/ March7th/ March 14th/ March 21st/ March 28th/ April 4th

£80 per person.

Classes for individuals, couples, friends or families. Sorry, over 16s only.

The course includes  basic skills in wedging clay, centering on the wheel, throwing a cylinder, throwing a bowl, making handles and lids. Aimed at beginners or as a refresher course.

 Your best pots will be glazed at the end of the course and ready to collect after a final firing.


 

 Individual sessions

 Can be arranged at your convenience, week days, evenings or at weekends, tailored to your own learning goals.

News

I am teaching new adult leisure classes in ceramics. Pottery for beginners and improves, at Joseph Wright college in Derby. The class runs on Thursday evenings from 6.00 - 8.00 pm. Contact the college for enrolment if you want to join in. It is fun class with no assessments or pressure, just time to play with clay.
